Research

My scholarship lies on the boundary of mathematics and art, and combines algebraic geometry, mathematical illustration, computational experimentation, and artistic practice. Increasingly, these activities have converged into a unified research program exploring visualization, physical creation, and computation as tools for mathematical exploration and discovery.  This work has produced peer-reviewed publications and artwork in juried exhibitions, and often involves undergraduate collaboration. Alongside my own scholarship, I work to build international communities around mathematical illustration, visualization, and interdisciplinary mathematical practice.
